PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS

FOR THE PROJECT, "CONSTRUCTION OF

MUFTI MEHMOOD FLYOVER AT REHMAN BABA

INTERSECTION PHASE-III, PESHAWAR"

The city Development & Municipal Department (CD&MD) invites application for pre-qualification of contractors/contracting firms of the project,

"Construction of Mufti Mehmood Flyover at Rehman Baba Intersection Phase-III, Peshawar" which must reach to the office of the undersigned on or before 30.11.2007. The flyover shall be stretching from central jail Peshawar at Justice Kiani Road (Jail Road) crossing over Rehman Baba Intersection and Bacha Khan Chowk linking Charsadda Road. It also includes two ramps along Justice Kiani Road and one from Dalazak Road.

The interested contractors/contracting firms having experience of at least three similar jobs in last ten years may submit applications for pre-qualification along with the following information/data/documents on or before the due date.

The applications received late will not be considered.

1. Constitution of the firm as registered under the companies Act with registration number, if any or status of the company giving full details of Director/Proprietor, Address and copy of Memorandum of Association.

2.  List of Engineers, Technical, Supervisory and other staff that would be deputed on this project, along with their qualification, experience and registration with Pakistan Engineering Council.

3. Proposed list of sub-contractors that would be deployed for carrying out specialized nature of works like piling post tensioning and electrical works.

4. Detail of construction plant, equipment, machinery tools and transport permanently owned by the firm.

5. Detail of works of similar nature completed in the past 10 years (bridge works costing more than Rs. 400 million) giving such information as the name of client/consultant, project location, scope of work, total cost and the time when completed, together with the consultants and client's certificates.

6. Detail of works of similar nature in hand, if any with cost and status.

7. Full particulars if the firm has ever failed to complete any contract. State any litigation entered into with the client in the past.

8. A certificate from a scheduled Bank of Pakistan/Foreign bank with regard to the financial soundness of the firm.

9. Registration of the firm with Pakistan Engineering Council.

10. Certificate of registration with Income Tax department in Pakistan.

11. Income Tax return of last two years.

12. A financial statement/balance sheet of the last two years certified by the registered auditors.

13. Affidavit to the effect that the firm has never been black-listed by the government/semi government or any autonomous body.

14. Affidavit tot he effect that all documents/particulars/information furnished in connection with pre-qualification are true.
