Consultancy Services Required
The Government of NWFP in collaboration
with the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and Sarhad Rural
Support Program is undertaking Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project in 54
TMAs of the Province. The Project aims at improving the quality of life of
approximately one million people of rural communities in NWFP through increase
access to and use of safe drinking water and sanitation.
The project requires a consultancy
services of an individual or firm to conduct a review of the existing monitoring
Mechanisms including monitoring committees as envisaged in LGO 2001 (and as
amended) and being practiced in TMAs. The review would be carried out in 4
selected districts covering 11 TMAs and all the UCs there in. After detail
Assessment the consultant/firm will draw lessons learnt, identify gaps and
suggest improvement/refinement to organize these mechanisms in Monitoring System
at the aforementioned levels as per requirement.
Qualifications & Experience
For individuals, the qualification should
be Masters Degree in Economics, Statistics, or other social sciences from
recognised university with 3-5 years experience in carrying out similar
assignment. He/She should have strong background on the subject, technical
techniques application, as well as strong analytical and report writing skills.
The consultant should be familiar with the new devolution set up and Local
