PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS
FATA SECRETARIAT / FATA DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
The Upper FATA Livelihood Development Program (LDP) for
the Federally Administered Trival Areas (FATA) of Pakistan, adjacent to North
West Frontier Province (NWFP) is a Government of Pakistan initiative being
implemented jointly through the FATA Secretariat and the FATA Development
Authority according to FATA Sustainable Development Plan.
The FATA LDP (NWFP & FATA) invites Expression of Interests (EOIs) for
"Pre-qualification from eligible contractors for Bajaur agency having
demonstrated experience in rehabilitation and construction of Community
Infrastructure (schools, health centers & houses), Excess and Movements (roads,
bridges & culverts), Essential Services (energy, water & irrigation) and Flood
Required Information and Qualification:
- Company profile, including name, address, date of
establishment, place of registration and principal place of business, number
of employees and an organizational chart.
- A copy of a valid and current registration certificate
with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) or enlistment with W&SD/FHA, NHA,
Office of the Political Agent(s).
- Specialized experience of the construction
company/firm, which is relevant to the type of service required including
activities carried out during the last five years describing years when the
projects were performed, monetary value, and clients. Offerers should specify
if they have experience performing similar projects for international
organizations and governmental agencies, such as WB, UN, USAID, etc.
- Description of owned plant & machinery for
construction, infrastructure facilities, ability to obtain additional
equipment as needed, and ability to procure construction materials.
- Demonstrated ability to assign an adequate number of
qualified key personnel from the firm, including a competent supervisor with
considerable experience with work of similar nature. An illustrative list of
candidates and their credentials to be assigned to implement the FATA LDP
projects, if awarded.
- Financial statement/annual reports for the past three
years demonstrating that the firm is not in bankruptcy protection and/or
default on its obligations.
- Experience working in FATA, in particular Bajaur.
- Provide a cop of the Registration with Pakistan
Engineering Council or enlistment with W&SD/FHA, NHA, Office of the Political

apprentice/trainees in construction or related activities, as chosen on site
or as recommended by our management and Contractor shall provide undertaking
in the bid, to this affect.
- The contractor and firm is not debarred by GoP and

visit prior to submission of bid on his own risk and cost and submit proof of
the site visit along with a work schedule as part of the bid.
- The selected bidder(s) will have to arrange for their
own security, on and off site, and handling of any other problem(s) / issue(s)
which may arise during assigned works, with no obligation to LDP management.

focused at: (i) the qualifications and competencies of key professional staff
proposed for the assignment; (ii) previous experience and area of work. The FATA
LDP reserves the right to reject one or al applications without giving any
