COMMUNITY OPHTHALMOLOGY

Qualification: Professor (BPS-21): Ph.D in the relevant HEC recognized University / Institution with 15 years teaching  / research experience in HEC recognized university or a postgraduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization. Applicant must have 12 publications (with at least 3 publications in last 5 years) in HEC / PM & DC recognized journals. Preference will be given to MBBS as basic qualification.

Assistant Professor (BPS-19): Ph.D in the relevant HEC recognized University / Institution with 10 years teaching / research experience in HEC recognized university or a post-graduate institutions or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization. Applicant must have 8 publications (with at least 2 publications in last 5 years) in HEC / PM & DC recognized journals. OR Master's Degree (Foreign) or M.Phil (Pakistan) or equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education in the relevant field from a HEC recognized University / Institution. 4 years teaching / research experience in recognized university or a post-graduation institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. Preference will be given to MBBS as basic qualification.

Lecturers (BPS-18):

1. Public Health & Social Sciences: MBBS / BDS with Master's Degree in Public Health (1st Class B-Grade), with no 3rd division in the academic career from a HEC recognized University / Institution.
2. Physiotherapy: First Class B.Sc (Physiotherapy) or Master's Degree, with no 3rd division in the academic career from a HEC recognized University / Institution. Preference will be given to person with experience in the relevant field.
3. Ophthalmology: First Class Master's Degree (Community Ophthalmology), with no 3rd division in the academic career from a HEC recognized University / Institution. Preference will be given to person with experience in the relevant field.
4. Biostatistics: First Class Master's Degree (Biostatistics), with no 3rd division in the academic career from a HEC recognized University / Institution. Preference will be given to person with experience in the relevant field.

Officer Manager/Teaching Assistant (BPS-17): First Class B-Grade MBA, with no 3rd division in the academic career from a HEC recognized university / institution.

Computer Lab Manager / Teaching Assistant (BPS-17): First Class B-Grade M.Sc Computer Science MSIT, with no 3rd division in the academic career from a HEC recognized university / institution.

Naib Qasid (BPS-2): Matriculate.

Chowkidar (BPS-1): Literate 

Note for Class IV: Preference will be given to locals.

• Application along with recent passport size, educational testimonials, experience certificates and copy of computerized National Identity card with a bank receipt of Rs. 500/- (non-refundable Account No. 1450-8, National Bank of Pakistan, Hayatabad Township Sr. (1759) Peshawar) in favour of Khyber Medical University, should reach the office of undersigned on or before 15-10, 2008.
• in service candidates should apply through proper channel. They must submit NOC from their concerned department / institutions along with the application.
• Three set of publications along with a bank receipt (same bank and account No. as mentioned above) of Rs. 2500/- for Associate Professor and Rs. 3500/-) for professor, as research/publication. Evaluation fee is to be submitted along with the application of respective posts.
• Age limit for BPS 16 & 17 is 25-35 years. Age relaxation of 10 years shall be admissible for the employees of Govt:  Semi Govt: or autonomous bodies on the basis of actual service rendered in the respective bodies.
• Selection shall be made in the manner prescribed by the university. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview. No TA/DA is admissible.
• Separate application for each post / institute and for BPS and TTS (Tenure Track System) is to be submitted.
• Incomplete application(s)/received after due date, shall not be entertained.
• Both genders can apply except for Class-IV.
