The Government of NWFP, Health Department, invites applications for four positions of Chief Executive of Teaching Hospitals (Khyber Teaching Hospital, Lady Reading Hospital, Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar and Ayub Teaching Hospital Abbotabad).

The Terms of Reference shall be:

a. He should not be more than 65 years of age.

b. Postgraduate Medical / Management / Science qualification from a reputable institution with 10 years experience in health related management / policy.

c. Retired senior Civil Servants and Army Officers / Personnel with experience in Senior Administrative Position are also eligible.

d. Clinicians may also apply subject to the condition that they will not be allowed to do any clinical work in the hospital or privately.

e. Additional weightage / preference will be given for additional qualification / courses in the health and general management or allied disciplines from institution of national and international repute.

f. The CE shall be appointed for a term of three years on contract basis.

g. Salary and other Packages — Rs. 200,000/- per month inclusive of all emoluments. He will not be allowed to use official transport and other facilities. In case of outstation travel he will be entitled to reimburse traveling expenditure and daily allowance equivalent to BPS-20 alongwith normal entertainment allowance allowed to BPS-20 officers.

h. The CE will be full time available for the job and will not undertake any

private practice / business.

i. The CE will be responsible for development of strategic business plan

for the hospital to provide quality, efficient and equitable services to

the people of NWFP.

j. He/she shall ensure optimal utilization of available public and private funds and introduce a comprehensive financial system.

k. He/she will also be responsible for all the administrative matters of the hospital related to Finance, Human Resource and Patient Management.

I. He/she will ensure a proper clinical and performance audit system to ensure quality healthcare and safeguard the interest of patients as well as healthcare provider.

m. The detailed TORs of the CE can be obtained from Health Sector Reforms Unit, Health Department NWFP on any working day.

n. Local, National, International & Foreign experts are eligible to apply.

Candidates already in Govt. Service should apply through proper channel. Only short        listed candidates will be called for the interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview. The committee has the right to select or reject any candidate.
