Save the Children (SC) seeks the following qualified and experience individual for the Livelihood Development program LDP . The LDP is a five year intervention by the Government to improve the lives of individuals and families living in the Upper FATA Agencies. SC as part of the consortium is responsible for job creation, education, youth development and community infrastructure.

The following are minimum qualifications for the position along with illustrative responsibilities and required experience.

Position: Senior Director Community Service

Location: Peshawar

The senior Director Community Services, as a member of the Senior Management team (SMT) will be responsible for all programmatic, managerial and financial of SC's work under the LDP.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop an overall strategy and implementation plan across all the project activities sectors for which SC is responsible.

• Represent SC on the SMT to forestall and help resolve potential implementation challenges

• Directly supervise the Director Community Mobilization, Director Education and Director Household infrastructure.

• Oversee production and dissemination of all reporting and narrative documents required by SC

• License with Islamabad based Duty Director Field Operation and Education Advisor, on the programmatic and management matters.

Job Specifications:

• Post graduation qualification

• Minimum 8-12 years of experience with three years in a relevant Position.

• Proven management experience of a development sector project

• Ability to establish good relationships with a variety of public and private institutions.

• Sound financial and strategic planning along with proven staff management skills.

• Excellent written and spoken English and report writing skills.

• Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel and email)

• Knowledge of Pushto and Urdu in desirable.
