POSITION
Position Summary: The M&E Officer's primary
responsibility is to manage and implement a system to gather, analyze and
process required information of programmatic activities. This individual must
coordinate the planning and monitoring project progress, measure program input,
oversee the data collection, provide rapid information on programs and ensure
the program has transparency and integrity. Prepare reports at different level
for both internal and external use of highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Support/train program staff in project planning,
monitoring, project reviews and reporting;
- Visit field offices (as and when required) and monitor
and evaluate projects' qualitative and quantitative aspect for agreed
indicators;
- In coordination with program staff, prepare annual
operational plans to meet strategic objective and monitor and report
accordingly;
- Strengthen M&E unit research capabilities, identify and
conduct relevant research activities;
- Participate in identifying and developing concepts for
projects and contribute to proposal preparation as assigned;
- Conduct impact assessments, baseline studies, surveys
and need assessments with Programs for identifying future project
opportunities;
- Consolidate internal monthly program reports to
quarterly and annual program reports for internal and external use as
necessary;
- Participate in professional training and development
activities as necessary;
- Provide monthly consolidated information about programs
to management;
- Contribute to the development of the program team by
modeling positive and productive professional work relationships;
- Represent the program positively and professionally in
both internal and external relations and situations.
Required:
- University education required with At least 3 years of
work experience in M&E
- Ability to lead teams, work in a group setting and
fluent in Pashto
- Excellent English report writing skills; a writing test
will be administered to the finalists for this position before employment
- Ability to conduct research
- Will require extensive field trips to program sites
