POSITION : MANAGEMENT INFORMATION
SYSTEM (MIS) MANAGER
Position Summary: The Management
Information System (MIS) Manager is responsible for ensuring that the
organizations information and technology (IT) systems operate at the optimum
level. He/she will advise the senior management on IT procurement, systems and
policies. The MIS Manager ensures the effectives utilization, maintenance
updating and enhancement of IT systems. Relationships with IT equipment
suppliers, monitoring of the implementation of IT-related subcontracts as well
as communications service providers will be managed by this position. He/she
will provide management over-sight IT officer and the IT assistant, who provide
hands-on trouble shooting to the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:

Manage the IT Officer and IT Assistant to
ensure the FDP staff at all levels and in all locations have the support they
need in terms of IT.

Establish IT systems and infrastructure at
FDP new office property. This includes the design and implementation of cable
and wireless networking.

Advise the senior management on all issues
relating to MIS, this includes procurement of equipment and software, IT policy
formation and communications.

Create and maintain a secure and reliable
IT set-up within the entire organization, both in Peshawar and the field.

Provide technical assistance to FDP
management in all areas related to IT within the context of program
implementation.

Over-see the configuration of equipment
and software
-
Maintain a consistent accounting of
software license usage request new license purchases when appropriate, and
follow-up on all licensing - related issues.

Monitor and report on the implementation
of various network construction internet-service provision and end-user support
wide range of IT problems.

Train FDP staff on the program-specific IT
tools and systems.

Prepare periodic progress reports and
submit them to the Operations Manager.

Carry out other duties as may be assigned
by the Operations Manager and Chief of Party.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
-
A Four-year degree in an IT related field
of study, and/or sufficiently extensive work experience and certification
coverage to compare with such.

Minimum of 10 years experience in a
relevant field, preferably with an international organization.

Fluent in spoken English and Urdu,
Competent reading and writing English.

Excellent human relation skills, integrity
and ability to work with minimum supervision and under pressure.
