COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Abbottabad Campus seeks the services of Teaching Faculty in the areas of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Development Studies, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Management Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy and Earth Sciences along with other Administrative Staff as per following details:

Faculty Positions : Professor

Age : Maximum Age 50 years

• Ph.D in the relevant field from a renowned national/international University.
• 15-year teaching/research experience in a recognized university/postgraduate institution or professional experience with at least 11-year at postdoctoral level.
• 15 research publications in national/international journals, out of which at least 5 should be in the last 5 years.

Faculty Position: Associates Professors

Age: Maximum Age 45 Years

• Ph.D in the relevant field from a renowned national/international University.
• 10-year teaching/research experience with at least 5-years at postdoctoral level.
• 10 research publications in national/international journals, out of which at least 4 should be in the last 5 years.

Faculty Position: Assistant Professors

Age: Maximum Age 35 years.

• Ph.D in the relevant field from a renowned national/international university OR
• MS/M.Phil in the relevant field with 4-year teaching/research experience OR
• First class sixteen-year-degree in the relevant field with 6-year teaching/research experience.

Faculty Position: Lecturers

Age: Maximum Age 30 years

• First class eighteen-year-degree in the relevant field from a renowned national/international university.

Administrative Positions

Faculty Position: Additional Registrar

• Sixteen-year degree in the relevant field from an accredited educational institution or its equivalent professional qualification with 13-year of post-qualification relevant administrative/professional experience in a university or a government department or any professional organization at the national or international level.
• Persons having Ph. D degree in the relevant field require 10-year of relevant post 16-year - degree experience.

Faculty Position: Deputy Director (Admin)

• Master degree or equivalent qualification along with 7-year of post qualification relevant administrative/professional experience in a university (in semester system) or government department. Strong interpersonal, analytical skills and hands-on experience of Office Automation Tools are highly required.

Faculty Position: Deputy Director (Coordination)

• Master degree or equivalent qualification along with 7 year post qualification relevant administrative / professional experience in a university (in semester system) or government department. Strong interpersonal, analytical skills and hands-on experience of working in semester system of examinations in higher education institutions. Strong interpersonal, analytical skills and hands-on experience of Office Automation Tools are highly required.

Faculty Position: Deputy Controller of Examinations

• Master degree or equivalent qualification along with 7 years post qualification relevant administrative/professional experience. The candidate must have sound knowledge / experience of working in semester system of examinations in higher education institutions. Strong interpersonal, analytical skills and hand-on experience of Office Automation Tools are highly required.

Faculty Position: Hostel Warden Male / Female

• Master degree or equivalent qualification along with 3-year experience as a warden of university/college hostel.

Faculty Position: Assistant Warden Male / Female

• B.A/B.Sc along with 2-year experience as a warden of university / college hostel.

Faculty Position: Lab Technicians (Chemistry, Pharmacy and Microbiology / Biotechnology)

•  B.Sc with diploma/certificate of Laboratory Technician in relevant field.
• 3-year experience as Laboratory Technician.
• Responsible to provide technical support to faculty, to ensure proper functioning of lab equipment, to keep record of lab equipment, timely available of chemicals/equipment and to demonstrate experiments etc.

1. Applications for faculty positions on CIIT Faculty Application Proforma whereas for administrative positions on CIIT Non-Faculty proforma downloadable from CIIT's website: www.ciit-atd.edu.pk along with copies of testimonials and demand draft/pay order of Rs. 500/- as non-refundable processing fee in favour of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Abbottabad must reach by July 28 (Monday), 2008 at the address mentioned below.
2. For the position of Professors and Associate Professors, please submit 2 sets of applications dossiers containing title page, table of contents, CIIT application form, attested copies of degrees/testimonials, copies of research articles published in internationally abstracted journals in a bound to the address mentioned below.
3. The appointments will be made after lifting of ban on requirement by the Federal Governments.
