Polio Eradication Initiative - Pakistan invites applications for the vacant position of Surveillance Officer based in different districts of Peshawar - NWFP.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Qualification:

1. MBBS or Equivalent Degree recognized by PMDC.

2. Post Graduation in public Health recognized by PMDC and acquainted with health system and infrastructure, routine EPI Programme, will be an added value.

Experience:

• Five years experience in Public Health; experience in EPI / PEI and Disease Surveillance.

• Compatibility with Personal Computer especially MS Officer, Internet Explorer and statistical packages like EPI Info, SPSS, MS Access, etc.

• Able to spend substantial time traveling in the field.

Job Description: The officer will work to assist in Polio Eradication and other EPI efforts, primarily for strengthening acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) surveillance, but assisting in all activities related in Polio Eradiation and the Expanded Programme on Immunization in his assigned districts(s).

Age Limit: up to 45 years.
