Building Constractors Pre-qualification

Caritas Switzerland is a member of the international Caritas Network. In Pakistan Caritas Switzerland is implementing a reconstruction Programme in the earthquake -affected Districts and Batagram (NWFP). The first phase of the reconstruction Programme of 18 schools started in March 2007 and second phase of reconstruction Programme of 7 schools started in September 2007. In a third reconstruction phase starting in February 2007 Caritas Switzerland aims to build another 10 schools in District of Mansehra Tehsil Balakot.

Tender Pre-Qualification Process

Caritas Switzerland is now inviting building contractors to apply for the tender process for its third reconstruction phase in NWFP

Scope of work: Turn -key construction of 10 primary schools with two to five classrooms each, sanitary facilities , boundary walls , Plumbing and wiring

Construction period: 15.02.2008 - 15.08.2008.

Size of Contract: Caritas Switzerland will award up to 3 schools to each contractor

Construction companies which are capable of finishing three schools in the above mentioned period should submit the following data with a cover latter.

Company Profile: Legal form of the company, ownership, incorporation of the company

Business Sector: Main fields of activities of the company during the last three years.

Business Capacity: Annual turnover of the last  three years, available technical equipment and machinery, number of staff. Statement about how many schools the applicants is willing and able to construct in the given period.

Qualifications: Registration or membership at professional organizations. Government approvals , details about staff qualifications.

Reference: At least three clients (person / organizations) out of the last three years which are able to testify for the applicant.
